“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do” -Kevin Gates
When will our society fully grasp how crippled it is by its inability to truly care for people? How many human beings will become emotionally and spiritually battered until people wake up? By people, I mean the nonprofits, churches, etc. that SAY they care, yet, when the time comes to ACTUALLY care, they are nowhere to be found.
Most use the notion that “we are only human” as an excuse. We aren’t perfect people, so we will miss the mark at times. Let me be clear: I agree with this. However, I disagree with the way we simply accept that people don’t take care of others well, without making any real attempts to improve. Day after day, I sit back and watch teams of people glorify all the good that they could accomplish in another city, state, or even country. Meanwhile, the same hurts and needs are on their own block.
Are those local people not worth it? Or, is it not beneficial enough to the image of a brand/organization? I guess we’ll never really know. What I DO know is that my team and I will stop at NOTHING to shift this paradigm. Regardless of the cost.
