How important is it for you to invest in your community? Think about it: Many local, small businesses are owned and operated by our friends and neighbors, which makes them more invested in our community and its future. With local businesses, we are given select products based on the needs of the community, and a much broader range of product choices and price. Rather than being controlled by giant, chain box stores, our small businesses have the ability to be creative with their inventory.
Here in the Pacific Northwest, we are blessed with local businesses as the backbone of our beautiful, small towns. From farmers to home builders to boutiques, these businesses offer a foundation for our neighborhoods. Owning such a local business has given me the opportunity to bring individuality and adaptability based on the wants and needs of the surrounding area. For me, one of the most rewarding parts of being a small business owner is building these relationships with my community.
As a member of your community, you can strengthen your city’s foundation by staying local and supporting small businesses. Take a moment, look around, reach out, meet your neighbor, and invest your time in your community to make it diverse, fun, and one-of-a-kind.
Think local first + Buy local when you can = Being a local!
